So it’s been a busy few months for you recently, what with hosting the Hall Of Fame awards, your own chat show, writing a TV Series and running a record label, how’s it been?
Not too bad actually, I’ve enjoyed it all so much. Before September hardly anyone knew who I was despite working in the entertainment industry for almost ten years, those in the film industry had a passing knowledge of my work but those outside of that very small circle had no idea who I was, but now things are crazy, it’s time-consuming of course and there’s been time when I haven’t got home until after midnight.

Let’s start with you taking over Junction Records?
I was involved in the label from March this year and I played quite a big part in recruiting, I signed Fathers Of Fury and a couple of others including Vulker & The Millions who went on to have a number 1 single.
Of course with Max and Lucy gone, there was issue’s regarding ownership of the label, Jackson Tyrell came in and was planning on making it a rock-only label and even went as far as dropping Cristina Lake. I felt this was wrong and decided to attempt to reverse this decision because I felt that Max and Lucy were proud of the vast array of stars on the label and gladly I was handed control and hopefully I can continue Max and Lucy’s hard work.

But the fame came before this all happened?
Yeah at that awards show, I had no idea why I was chosen. I guess they assumed I was a comedian or something to bring entertainment to the proceedings but I’m not a comedian at all. I’m an actor or writer or director by trade but people just seem to think that I’m like Ben Stiller or some comedy actor, I’m very serious.

And will you continue acting now that you’re a well known name?
Not at the moment, I’m taking a break from it. It’s the perfect time to focus on other things like Late Night and Of Monsters so for now I’m concentrating on other things.

Others things like organising a charity single maybe?
Yeah exactly, I remember when I was younger watching the We Are The World video on TV and thinking wow, look at all those legends in one room, it was a mix of everything and I saw the video again online along with the Band Aid one and thought why not give it a shot. I did the necessary hard work in securing the permission to cover the song and here we are. The line-up is brilliant, sadly a couple of people weren’t available to do it for one reason or another but it’s shaping up nicely.

And of course the reason behind it is charity?
Definitely. Every penny it raises will go to the Feed the World Foundation and hopefully it can put the awareness back in the spotlight as well as hopefully raising millions for the charity.

And the rivalry?
I find it kind of funny. It’s a complete coincidence that they’re both being release at the same time but its fun. Obviously they’ve got a great line-up, especially with Britt being on it and I think if you ask the guys running TRSG Band Aid they’ll tell you that the Xmas number 1 spot is just for fun, the reason we’re doing this single is 100% for charity, I don’t know about those guys you’d have to ask them. But the whole Xmas number 1 is just a little bit of fun. Of course we’d both like to be number 1 and we’ll see but there’s tough competition, not just from us but there’s a lot of Xmas singles.

Would you say you’re the favourite for Xmas number 1?
No I wouldn’t say so. I think TRSG Band Aid are the favourite’s, if you look at everyone on there, Firecracker 47, Brittany Knox, Matty, Saburban Sunrise, Stacey Walton, Infinite and Mind. I think they’ve got a more rock based selection where we’ve got a more pop based selection. I think it could be close but like I said, it’s the charity that’s gonna benefit from this.

And your in a relationship with Brittany Knoxville?
Yeah

What's that like?
It's great but I think we'd both rather talk about other things. A relationship is part of your private life and I feel that it should stay as private as it can, don't get me wrong I understand the reasoning for the questions because that's something the readers will want to know about but it's like we've both got pretty succesfull careers and neither of us want to be known only for dating one another, But all I will say is that we're very happy together, it's a shame we're away from each other for quite long periods of time but we make it work, she's a brilliant person.

Ok well we hope the success continue's for the forseable future.
