Organizer: Good Afternoon everyone, I’m glad you could all make it here. We’re here today to announce the upcoming plans for Studio 60 Records. So this is how it will work, Mr Greg Walls will explain what will be happening with the expansion of Studio 60 and then we’ll answer questions from the reporters.

Greg Walls: (*points out to the reporters) That’s you guys.

Organizer: Yes well, without further delays we’ll now begin. Greg.

Greg Walls: Thanks. So we’ve got ourselves a pretty interesting label haven’t we. I’ve had to be careful about how I developed it, Of course I had to make sure it was financially viable first of all, I couldn’t just go out and start signing everyone who interested me and I think 4 months on and we’ve got ourselves a pretty incredible roster. I wanted to make an impact from the very start and with the signings of two of the biggest names in music right now Ryan Ross Hernandez and Mind, we knew that we were onto a good thing, we wanted to create a roster that would make people step back and go “wow this is the label for me.” And I feel we achieved that with our first two signings.
So we’ve got six great acts on the label, Ryan Ross Hernandez, Michelle Green, Axiom, Sara Daniels and Katie Coyle and we still technically have Mind signed to the label, that issue will be figure out in the coming weeks.
We’ve decided to enhance the label even further and will be looking extensively for the new batch of stars to add to our current crop as your all aware this is a multi-genre label and I’m proud of that so if you have a demo then please feel free to drop it into the studio’s, New signings will be the first part of the expansion, we’d ideally look to get maybe 5 more acts signed to the label and we‘re going to be sending out a team of our most reliable talent scout‘s around the USA to find us some unsigned gems.

We’ve also been pretty thin on staff in the first 3 months of the labels existence but we’re going to be introducing some new staff to our label via our official website in the next couple of days. The new additions to our staff will be vital to help the label run smoothly and help kick the label into the next level in there roles of Head Scout, Vice President, Head Of Marketing and Head Of Artistic Development.
Other plans to expand the label will include our headquarters in Hollywood, California being developed into a huge state of the art building with everything our artists need all under one roof, this will hopefully be helpful for our artists although there is no pressure to use the building for recording purposes as we’re more than happy to have them record in a venue of their choice.
Another “planned” addition to the every growing stature of the label will be a competition to find the next best artist, it’s currently in development so there is a chance that it may not come to fruition but I’m pretty confident of it happening.
So that’s basically our plans for the future, so feel free to ask any questions.

Reporter 1: So what brought on this sudden interest to improve your label?
Greg: Well, it’s not something we’ve only just decided to do, we’ve been planning things for a little while, it’s just some things got in the way of that and now I feel it’s the right time to do this. The fact that there’s other labels out there that are slowly making strides to improve their own labels is also something that came into my though process. I don’t want us to trail behind so it’s important for us to move forward and work hard to become the number one label around, it’s not going to be easy but we feel we can attract the biggest names in music and we feel that we have attracted some of the biggest names in music, just look at the success of Michelle Green.

Reporter 2: Should other labels be worried about you maybe trying to take their artists?
Greg: No definitely not. That’s not the way to run a label, we can talk to other labels about whether they’re willing to let an artist leave but if they so no then that’s the end of our attempts, otherwise it would essentially be a form of stealing.

Reporter 3: Do you think it will be tough to compete with other labels and which label is your biggest threat?
Greg: I think a lot of the new labels are more into quantity over quality. They’ll learn in time that it will always be quality over quantity. In terms of our biggest threat, I don’t know, I don’t see it as in competition as such, there’s obviously a few acts that I’m interested in, signed to another record label but there’s no real war between labels, certainly not from my point of view.

Reporter 4: Which act would you most like to sign?
Greg: I don’t think it’s right to publicly announce an interest in another labels artists.

Reporter 5: Why choose to do a talent competition?
Greg: It’s a good way to find undiscovered talent, also there isn’t enough of it out there at the moment. All Around The World is very inconsistent and I feel that it could be better formatted, it’s a good show which does find talent, we even made the signing of the star of the first season Sara Daniels, I personally don‘t see how she didn‘t win but that‘s something I‘m not going to get into.
I feel if we do make the show it will be about the music rather than the press coverage that will inevitably come with it.

Greg: Well that’s all for today guys, I’ve gotta go back to the office and make some history.
