 So Edward, you’ve recently signed a record deal with Junction Records, why choose them?
Edward: They’re the only ones who had some sort of interest in me and they were the ones that interested me the most with acts like Glamazon it was always gonna be the most tempting offer.
And you recorded a demo called Showman before you got signed, is that still being released?
Edward: Yeah the label seemed to still want it to go ahead but it’s not the finished article to be honest. The sound is a little sketchy and stuff and the production isn’t great but it’s just to sort of get a feeler of what you can maybe expect from me.
And what about an album?
Edward: Yeah you could expect that at some point in the near future. I’ve not got a lot of material to work with just yet but we’ll figure that out nearer the time.
And do you plan on writing everything?
Edward: I plan on writing the majority but I’m very open to working with other people, maybe outside songwriters and there’s a few people I know I have to work with on the album but more of that another time.
And now about you, you seem to be involved in trouble wherever you go, what with your adventures at the Dirty Bastard Hotel?
Edward: Oh yeah, that guy punched me because I once had a brief thing with his sister but I’m used to it so it wasn’t anything extra ordinary.
And what about that thing with Michelle and Matty?
Edward: Oh yeah, that was a bit more unexpected. She sort of just introduced herself and we were talking and then she spotted Matty and I guess Matty got a bit jealous because I was talking to her, which is just a bit too embarrassing for him and I guess he had a bit too much to drink but I think we did the right thing in leaving. I’m not really the fighting kind.
So did he have anything to be jealous about?
Edward: No not at all. She just wanted to introduce herself I guess and we had a little joke and maybe we flirted a little bit but I don’t think there was anything more than that. She’s a very attractive and a very funny girl and she’s very talented but I don’t think there was any substance. Maybe if we spent more time in each others company then there would maybe be something there but it was just a brief conversation.
Well lets hope you can keep out of trouble in the future?
Edward: I can only try.
And what about your touring plans?
Edward: There’s none yet. A couple of special sort of introductory gigs have been talked about but for now I’m gonna be paying my due’s by supporting people.
