   GQ: Hello Tisha it is very good to see you.
Tisha: Hello it is nice to see you as well.
GQ: So how has your break been?
Tisha: It has been really well. I just needed a couple of months off to stay to myself. I needed to breathe. I think everyone needs a little break every now and then.
GQ: You have been working nonstop since 2007, did you feel worn down?
Tisha: No, not really. I wouldn’t say I was worn down. Because I love my work. But work can get tiring sometimes. And I just had came off the fourth most successful tour of 2010, my album sold 7 million copies worldwide. It was a lot of work done in oney year. So I needed to take a little break and relax so I can feel comfortable and in my skin.
GQ: So you announced a new album soon last year, when can we expect to hear it?
Tisha: I have already completed the album. This album I wanted to take my time. I just feel like this album will be received as the most special album to the fans because I have worked so hard on it. I feel like this album caters to my fans the most and I have never sounded this way before. You can expect to hear it sometime in April.
GQ: Which direction did you take with this album?
Tisha: I have never sounded this way before again. This album is straight up Hip-Hop R&B. I have never sounded this urban before. And I feel that this is my most truthful realistic album and it is also an album that everyone can relate to.
GQ: What topics will the album talk about?
Tisha: This album talks about a lot. Things from sex, to love, to abuse, to being a celebrity and being in the public eye everyday. It actually talks about fame a lot because it can change you. And I would like to think it hasn’t changed me so-. But I know so many people it has changed. There is a lot of fakeness going on. And im not going to be scared to talk about it.
GQ: So when can we expect the documentary?
Tisha: The documentary will come out on February 6, 2011. And it airs on MTV.
GQ: So did you let the camera’s film you a lot? And is it personal?
Tisha: Yeah, I really did. We filmed like 4 days a week for three months. We began filming in November and production just recently wrapped. You get to see everything from family to recording to my friends to my love life. And you will be seeing some famous faces on the docu as well.
GQ: Speaking on your love life. People may find it hard to remember when you were engaged.
Tisha: Haha. Yes. That was a point in my life when I feel like I wasn’t in control. I just had reflected on the type of person I was when I first entered this business, and I then compared it to who I had become and I didn’t like this new girl. So I just remember thinking I was living in sin and God wasn’t pleased with me. So I was ready to get married and settle down at the age of 19. Now looking back, I feel so stupid because I was about to practically end my youth to be married and have children at a young age. I thank God for snapping some since into me and helping me conclude that I was just too young to get married and settle down.
GQ: Wow, you know you never spoke of your break-up with Murder until now.
Tisha: No, I haven’t, not publicly at least. I just look back and I feel that everything was a rush. Here we were two celebrities in the public eye. And I am so glad everything between he and I are over because we had nothing in common. His whole entire body wans inked tatted up. He was a rocker type dude. He had peircings and I just never could see a future with him. I was just getting married to get married. To have somebody to call my husband and claim me as his wife. And I vowed that I would never even date anyone if I wasn’t interested in him or could picture a future with him.
GQ: Well, how did your relationship end with Randolph Guiters?
Tisha: I don’t want to focus on anymore relationships after this. But I really loved him. He was a protector and one of the most matured man and loving man I had ever been with. But I don’t think I will get married anytime soon. I’m not going to commit to someone for the rest of my life at the age of 21 and definitely not until I really love and care for someone.
GQ: How has it been being in the business for three years?
Tisha: It has been very exciting. It has been very rewarding. I have been all over the world. A lot of ups and downs but for the most part ups. And I love it. I’m living my dreams. I’m actually living my dreams.
GQ: Going back to the album what can we expect so far as collaborators?
Tisha: So many things! So many things! And so many collaborators you can expect to hear. I can’t even talk about them. It’s a track that is on the album, I can’t talk about it but it will definitely be one of the biggest tracks on the album and of the year. I can actually say I worked with living legends and upcoming legends like myself on this one track. But my first sing will be a collaboration and it should be released between now and February, so you can expect to hear that soon.
GQ: Well it was so good talking to you and we can’t wait to speak with you again.
