Thank you Hannah for meeting with us.
Hannah Beth: The pleasure is all mines. I love People magazine. (Smiles and laughs)
Its been a while since people last heard from you. Where did you disappear to?
Hannah Beth: Well, I decided to take a break from music after my father died and there’s been more personal drama added on with that. It just wasn’t a good time for me to try to focus on anything else.
How did your father die, if you don’t mind me asking.
Hannah Beth: No not at all. He had a heart attack. Usually I wouldn’t want to talk about it at all but it’s been a while now and I’ve been able to open up about it a little more. It doesn’t hurt as much to talk about it.
So now that your back what can we expect from you?
Hannah Beth: Well im pretty much the same person as before just more focused I believe. I’ve had time to just really question if I was still able to do this and I know my father wouldn’t want me to just up and quit and plus music is a passion to me. I love it, I enjoy making it so I couldn’t leave. I know where I want my music to go now and how I want it to sound.
We’ve been hearing a new sound and a new look for you. What inspired it?
Hannah Beth: I’ve always loved to dress up when I was little and even now when I go shopping, I like to put on the strangest things to see how I look. I think I’m more open to change then before. I don’t wanna have the same sound, the same look as before so I changed it a little. I may even go blonde one day. (Laughs) You never know with me.
Do you have any musical influences?
Hannah Beth: Of course Stephanie Fierce, Miss Vanity, Ryan Ross Hernandez, Girl Spice. I also love Radio Vine, Cherise, Brittany Knox, Alicia Lena, Brandon Caulfield, Glamazon. I could go on forever.
What kind of music do you listen to?
Hannah Beth: Anything I consider good. I’m not really a genre specific person. I can go from a pop song to a metal song to a country song and to a R&B song with no problem.
Are you still signed to Hot Eye Records?
Hannah Beth: Thankfully yes. They decided to keep me around for a while. (Smiles) I think I owe them some hits and tours.
I’ve heard rumors about another family member wanting to join the entertainment world?
Hannah Beth: Ahh, yes my little brother Hayden. I have no problem with him wanting to join it but I just asked him one thing and that was to finish high school first, then he can go and be a huge rockstar.
We rarely hear you talk about your family, why is that?
Hannah Beth: My family is very small. It consists of me, my brother Hayden, and my father. That’s all I’ve known growing up and that’s all that counts.
What’s your brother like?
Hannah Beth: He’s like me really. (Smiles) He’s the most sweet, loving, adorable brother ever. He has talent too. He can sing and he has a real soulful voice. Look at me I’m promoting my brother.
Besides family life, how’s your personal life?
Hannah Beth: It’s good as far as I can tell. I have support from my friends back home and I’m making some new friends in the business like Brandon Caulfield, Edward Barát, Glamazon.
What about dating?
Hannah Beth: Well, it’s not really a secret I used to date Taylor from ‘Dead Roses’, but after I left, we decided to go our separate ways. We still remain friends and I haven’t really been dating that much. I was seeing someone last month but it didn’t work out. Right now, I’m not really dating anyone. I’m not looking either. I’d rather they come to me instead of me trying to find my ‘perfect’ guy.
Do you have any crushes or has anyone caught your eye?
Hannah Beth: (Smiles and laughs) Um, well I think everyone has celebrity crushes. Mines range from Hayden Christiansen to Paul Walker to Johnny Depp. None of those have really changed. (Laughs)
Well thank you for your time and good luck to you.OOC: Im sorry if its so long lol. I really got into it. |
