what you guys think about them? personally, i like them. Very indie, very alternative music. They remind me a lot of Modest Mouse, but in a pleasing and not in an imitate manner. I view them as a great independent band, free from certain labels of their sound, yet be at a similar level as other greats. Idk if you understood what I just wrote because it might sound kinda stupid, but yeah, I like them. James Mercer is AMAZING, and his collaboration with Danger Mouse (same dude from Gnarls Barkley) on Broken Bells was also pleasing, in a very different way than anything Shins, in an almost exotic fashion. What are your opinions on their music?

I adore The Shins. My favourite song from them has to be New Slang.
But I love most of their stuff, Caring Is Creepy and Young Pilgrims are just two other great songs by them.
I also loved Broken Bells debut album, particularly the High Road and Vaporize. :) |
