MTV: Ladies and gents today I am here with Matt Urie from the young band Suburban Sunrise. Matt how are you doing?
Matt: Pretty good thanks.
MTV: So lets start this off real quick. The other day Suburban Sunrise announced that your new third coming full length will be out on June 25th and that it will be called "When All Else Fails... Run." Can you give us a little insight on the album?
Matt: Well I obviously cant say anything too much about it but, its going to be something new. We are sort of changing it up a little bit. It will be simmilar to "Torn Filthy Love" which everyone seemed to like but we are going to be adding in some electric beats which sounds pretty cool. Oh and it is going to consist of 12 songs and there are going to be different deluxe editions of it as well. We are going to have the standard deluxe which will come with 2 bonus tracks, the second deluxe which will come with 3 and the super fantastical deluxe edition which will come with 5 bonus tracks, and 3 demo's of songs that we decided not to put on the album. Plus some more fun stuff that we will announce later.
MTV: That sounds pretty exciting. So next question is. You and Victoria Black have announced that you are now dating eachother. How is that going?
Matt: Its amazing. She is great, amazingly pretty, and just an overall really cool, down to earth girl and I couldn't be happier. She really is a great person
MTV: What does your ex Stacy Walton have to say about the whole thing?
Matt: I honestly dont know. I havent talked to her. But I heard she is dating some dude, his name escapes me at the moment but she seems happy and im happy for her and thats all that matters. Honestly all that matters is that she's happy, and Im happy so everyone wins
MTV: When SS signed that huge 5 mil contract with Junction Records they announced that you and Nicole have a solo album apart of the whole contract as well. Are you planning on releasing a solo album soon?
Matt: Ya I am. Nicole has actually already began recording her's and Im in the writting stage of it. So far Nicole's album is sounding amazing. It is pretty much a pop/alternative record. But she is digging the solo stuff.
MTV: Did Nick sign a solo deal as well?
Matt: Uh no. Nick just really plays bass. No disrespect to my bro but he just plays bass and screams. If he did a solo thing it would probably be typical hardcore, screamo album. But I love that guy so its ok.
MTV: And this is my last question for you. Are you guys going to be doing a summer tour?
Matt: Right now we are on the tour with Vengance but we are keeping everything low key right now because we aren't one hundred percent sure. Guess you will just have to wait like everyone else
