About Response Code in their own words
Born in Manchester's industrial shadows, Response Code fuses distorted guitars, mechanical rhythms, and haunting electronics into a volatile strain of industrial rock. Fronted by the magnetic and emotionally unpredictable Ray Tomlinson, the band features sonic architect Alan Turing on guitar and synthesizers, Claude Shannon on bass and programming, and Dennis Ritchie on drums and electronic percussion. Inspired by a world increasingly controlled by technology, Response Code explores digital alienation, surveillance, obsession, rebellion, and the fragile boundary between human and machine. Their sound is cold, aggressive, and relentlessly hypnotic, yet beneath the distortion lies a desperate pulse of humanity. In a world of endless connections, Response Code asks one question: Is anybody really listening?
