About KNOX in their own words
KNOX, born Gabriel Nkosi, is an emerging grime rapper from Lewisham, South London. Raised by his South African mum, he grew up on gospel, house and grime. His low, commanding voice and sharp wit cut through stripped-back beats, balancing swagger with honest reflections on family, loyalty and ambition. Recording in a friend’s bedroom around supermarket shifts, he’s finding his sound and building the confidence to take it beyond his postcode. Offstage, he’s private, football-obsessed and devoted to his family. His mates call him Gabe. His mum still calls him Gabriel, especially when he’s late home for dinner on a Sunday.
