Changelog
What's new, what's fixed, and what's changed - most recent first.
Monday 20 July 2026
Fix
Fixed the 'are you sure?' pop-ups - on a few forms (like cancelling a campaign) clicking Confirm did nothing at all. They now go through properly.
Sunday 19 July 2026
Fix
Popularity is back on its 0-100 scale. Stacking lots of campaigns could push popularity (and notoriety) far past the ceiling - one band hit 324! Popularity now caps at 100 and notoriety at 125, and anyone over the line has been set back to the maximum. Campaigns you're running still work; boosts just can't take you past 'literally everyone knows you'. Sales already made were left alone.
Improved
The charts got the countdown they deserve - the №1 sits on a throne (big artwork, the week's story), the top 10 stand tall, and the pack lines up below. One Charts page now covers singles, EPs, albums and streaming with a proper format switcher, and the market picker is a tidy dial instead of a second row of tabs.
Improved
We tidied the menu - same links, better homes: six clear sections instead of one giant Gameworld list, the four charts share a single Charts entry (with tabs on the page), Chart Watch moved in with your music, and there's a Discord link so you can come and shout at us directly.
Improved
Messages now take you there - when a message mentions a page (an award nomination, a rivalry declaration, a world event), it links straight to it. No more hunting through the menus.
Fix
Launch-day polish: EPs now show on Chart Watch alongside singles and albums (sorry, EP acts - you were charting all along), and the Google sign-in button wears the proper multi-colour G.
Friday 17 July 2026
Fix
Two quick fixes: the Promote page was refusing to keep your tier selection (a bug in yesterday's update - clicks were un-selecting themselves; each section also has a proper Clear button now), and release pages no longer let a huge cover squeeze the stats into a sliver on wide screens.

Fix
Playlist campaigns, straightened out - they now show as 🎧 Playlist pitch with their streams boost on your campaigns page and in the Weekly Rundown (they used to hide as a generic 'Campaign' doing seemingly nothing), the booking cards say 'streams ×' instead of wrongly claiming a sales lift, and a pitch aimed at a market that's cold on your genre can no longer reduce your streams - worst case it's money down the drain, never a penalty. And the Promote page now works the way it looks: pick a tier in each method you want - video AND radio AND playlist - and launch them all together (it used to book only your last click while the others just looked selected - sorry if that caught you). Click a selected tier again to clear it, and re-booking a method that's already running asks you to confirm first.
Improved
A spring clean - Search now finds bands AND releases from one box (and no longer digs through real names or cities), Compare got a proper head-to-head with logos, a win tally and modern stats like streams and trophies, and hovering a country on World Tastes shows its full profile. The menu lost a little dead weight too.
New
Seasons, out in the open - the homepage and your dashboard now show the current season, when it started, when the finale lands, and how many days are left on the clock. Every season ends in the Awards; every trophy is forever.
New
Sign in with Google - one click to log in or create your account, no password to remember. If your account already uses your Gmail address, Google sign-in connects to it automatically.
Fix
Donations really do credit your points automatically now - a bug in how we verified PayPal's confirmation meant real donations were going unrecorded. Found and fixed the same day thanks to a donor report. If you donated and weren't credited, contact us and we'll make it right.
New
The Most Streamed award joins the ceremony - the one category where singles, EPs and albums compete head-to-head for the season's most-played release. Release pages now break your streams down by region, and the Weekly Rundown counts your plays alongside your sales.
Improved
Image uploads, levelled up - the limit jumps from 1 MB to 10 MB (WebP now welcome) and we resize everything automatically, so just upload your biggest, best file. Cover art now shows sharp at double the size on release pages, band banners display as a proper wide strip (aim for 2400×500 with the focus centred), and sideways phone photos straighten themselves out.

New
Streaming is here - every release now earns streams each game week (old releases keep streaming long after they leave the sales charts), paying a small royalty and counting toward your score. Check the new Streaming Chart, watch your monthly listeners on your profile, and pitch your releases to playlists from the Promotion hub.
New
EPs are here! Release 4-6 tracks as an Extended Play - cheaper and faster than an album, with its own Top 40 chart, its own 'EP of the Year' award, and full promotion support. Find 'Release EP' in the Actions menu.
New
You voted - no reset! The beta world is here to stay: every band, song, chart run and trophy carries straight on into the full game. What you've built counts.
Improved
Albums can now hold 10 to 20 tracks (long requested!). Your album's rating is the average of its 10 best tracks - so bonus tracks can never hurt it, and a banger can bump your weakest cut.
New
Band bios - tell the world your band's story. Write it in Band Settings and it appears front-and-centre on your public profile. (You can stop hiding messages in your band members' names now - we saw that. Nice.)
New
Band logos and banners - upload a square logo (it shows beside your band name and in the top bar) and a wide hero banner for the top of your profile, right from Band Settings.
Tuesday 14 July 2026
New
A fresh look when you're signed out - a redesigned homepage that shows the world's current #1 single and album (with cover art), reworked sign-in and sign-up pages, and a tidier menu that no longer overflows on phones.
New
Light mode - a sun/moon toggle in the top bar (and on the signed-out pages) flips the whole game between the warm dark look and a new light theme, awards ceremony included. It remembers your choice and follows your device's setting by default.
Improved
The top bar now behaves on small phones - your band's stats slide to their own row instead of crowding the controls, and Log out is a tidy icon.
New
The Rockstar Game has a logo - the 'Admit One' ticket mark now heads the app and the sign-in pages, with a matching favicon in your browser tab.
Improved
Patrons now wear a gold ★ next to their band's name across the whole game - the charts, rankings, feed, awards and everywhere else.
New
Become a Patron - support the game on Patreon and link your account in Manager Settings for a small hourly points boost to your active band and a Patron badge on your bands.
New
Manager trophy cabinets - every manager now has a public page collecting the awards their bands have won across every season, with a roster of their bands. Find it from any band's profile or your dashboard.
New
This season vs all-time - leaderboards, charts and profiles can now toggle between career totals and this-season figures, and Season 1 onward adds a Newcomer award for the season's biggest climber.
Monday 13 July 2026
New
The Rockstar Game Awards - every season now ends with a ceremony crowning the best singles, albums and bands. Trophies show on your band's profile.
Fix
Saving your manager settings no longer switches off game-update emails by mistake.
Improved
Cover artwork now shows on the charts and band profiles, not just the release pages.
New
Changelog added - you're reading it. New features and fixes land here as they ship.
Fix
Donations now credit your points automatically once PayPal confirms.
Fix
Single and album artwork now displays correctly after upload.
Sunday 12 July 2026
New
Public beta launched - a fresh world running at double speed (a game week every 12 hours) for one week.
