New Support Announcement

Hey guys, Ryan here, I guess it's up to me now to announce the latest batch of support bands for the world tour! And what a great bunch we have for you this evening!

First off, we have a great young metal band who it looks like we will be touring with throughout the whole tour (excluding UK)! It'll be cool to have these guys out opening for us each night. We welcome Raining Suicide to the tour!

Secondly, we are absolutely fucking delighted to be able to welcome a great, huge band to our tour! It'll be our first time heading out with the mighty, mighty MIND. What an honour it will be having such a great band opening for us, and we've heard they like a good party! Mind will be joining us at the start of the tour for the UK shows which is gonna be superb!

Thirdly, and finally for now, is a personal highlight for me! It is a MASSIVE pleasure to announce that completing the line up for the UK tour alongside ourselves and Mind will be our great friends in CHIMERA. We worked with Chimera many times in their previous incarnation as Smash Up, and to get a chance to tour with them again is massive for us, it will be amazing to have those guys out with us on tour! These are also the last shows that Chimera will play until at least December, so we hope to be there when they fucking really let go on this tour!

So the line up for the UK tour is now complete and it is going to be fucking sick! Dont miss those shows!

Hola Mi Amigos!

It's the one and only Ry-Ry here, blogging right at ye from the Dime Studio in Edinburgh bonnie Scotland.

Just thought I should update you on where we are at the moment. We have finished recording most parts of the songs for the album. We just have to layer all the instruments, and then finish off the drums, after which Scott can come in and rip the songs a new arsehole with some killer vocals. Dude has been working on a new growl style, and I swear it's so low I actually shat last week! So look out for that, and bring nappies/diapers (check me being all multi-lingual) to the shows in the summer!

Anyway, all of that should be rounded off in around a month, and then it's on to the mixing and shit, which I thankfully have nothing to do with. Scott will be dealing with that along with our top man in the studio (we fucking love you man!), if that takes another month, then all is good, and the provisional date for the release of the new album is Monday 17th May 2010!! Also, look out for the official naming of the album, right here on Wecz.com in the next few days!

And finally, a bit more imminently exciting news for you. when you have been in this business for the sort of length of time that we have, song writing becomes almost too natural. For that reason, we wrote waaayyyy too many songs for this album, and although the quality isn't great, we decided to record them during our off time in the studio, by ourselves, experimenting with the equipment and shit. So, as of now, we are releasing, for FREE download on the Blood Of Wecz website, a new EP, as a kind of taster to what you can expect from the new album. The EP is called The songs we didn't want on our album but we still wanted you to hear EP and is designed to let you hear how the new album will sound. These songs are all of a Wecz standard, there just wasn't enough space on the album for them. So enjoy the three songs on their, and let us know what you think! Enjoy the free gift, and pirate that shit everywhere you can!
