STATUS UPDATE
UserPostedImage

In the continued revamp of Junction Records we are pleased to announce that the label will now be run by Greg Walls at the 4th Street Studio's office in New York. The label is still primarily owned by Max Armstrong but he decided that he needs to have someone with experience to keep the label running smoothly. Greg Walls has been at Junction Records since October 2008, he has previous record label experience and started out in 1989 at Columbia Records as an assistant to the head of artistic development, he made his way up through the ranks at Columbia Records to the position of Head Scout.
He left Columbia Records in 2007 and got involved in Junction Records, he helped fund the label during the early years and was gived the title of head of public relations, he also acted as a talent scout although it wasn't an official role.
Due to Max Armstrong's busy schedule he has decided to move Greg Walls to Vice-President and he now has increasing control in the label, Max Armstrong will however still be heavily involved with the label and will continue to oversee new signings and will continue to work closely with the acts already signed to Junction Records.

INFORMATION TO ARTISTS
Could all artists inform Junction Records when their albums are finished, The information we need is the album title and artist/band. This is just to ensure that the official website is updated regularly and correctly.

OOC: I know it can be a pain to look through loads of pages of the roleplay section so I will put a link on my signature. All you have to do to get the website is click where it says JunctionRecords.com.

EXPANSION UPDATE
The building work on the second 4th Street Studio's has begun, the location for the second studio will be in Los Angeles, California. We have decided that Los Angeles would be the best option because it means that our artists will have the option to record in a different location, I know that a couple of our artists are based in Los Angeles so it's pretty convenient, After the Los Angeles studio is up and running work will begin on the 3rd US location which is at the moment going to be in Chicago, Illinois.
The LA studio will be very similar to the New York studio's.
Here's some of the rooms/features:

> 6 Recording Rooms
> 1 Live Performance Area
> 1 Large Lounge Area
> 4 Writing Area's
> 1 State Of The Art Gym
> 1 Press Area
> 1 Large Kitchen and Cafe Area

Well Greg. Life has been a roller coaster for me. And with T.Tome recently passing I feel like I need to continue making music. All The Bards, and all our other solo projects have been, well, solo. Independently produced. A blessing that I am grateful for. Anyways T.Tome's passing has got me itching again to go back on that roller coaster. I would like to finish off The Bards under your label. We have a ton of unreleased songs and entire album that was recorded days before T.Tome passed. I would love to give The bards to you, That is if you would have me? I'm 65 years old and have a bad heart. I don't have long. But the thing I do have is a passion and drive for great music. Is this something that we can shake hands on?

Bside: Unchained Melody (cover)

Released: August 3rd
Label: Junction Records

About coming of age and believing yourself and staying true to who you are, "Fifteen", is a masterful yet primal tour-de-force of folk/idie pop and rock that reveals a young strong talent that should surely be regarded as one of the best finds of this year, completely separating herself from the generic singers of today. There is a sheer vitality contained within the four minutes of the track that is as rare to find as it is great to hear. Produced by herself, her father Mitch Green and their exclusive music producer Andrew Blake, the track avails in capturing a powerfully studio sound that sinks into a persons ear. The track also explodes in a series of powerful verses and choruses that are enhanced by Michelle's heavy and sweeping vocal delivery. Instrumentally the song has many blends of the ukulele, forceful vocals and present drumming. All together her voice powerfulness and ability as well as the heavy instruments in the background is sure to engage the listener and most likely have them listening over and over again.

The B-side cover of The Righteous Brothers 'Unchained Melody' is equally as strong. Michelle Green proves to us that she has the emotion and vocal ability to pull of such an epic and vocally challenging song. Michelle brings her vocals to the next level signing along with the chords and belting the words "Are You Still Mine" at each verse. Emotionally powerful enough to make someone break down in tears, Michelle deserves the respect from many of the top singers in the business of today, because many are upstaged by her delivery in this classic blue eyed soul track recorded in the 1960's. With Michelle's powerful belts, harmonies and melodies, much of the industry should just keep their eyes on this 15 year old.

Quote:
"This is the debut single from our latest addition to Junction Records, Michelle Green, she's an incredible talented and we're honoured to have her on board. I know that there was another couple of labels interested in signing her and we're delighted that Michelle has decided to sign with Junction Records. She has an incredible future with Junction Records and we will back her 100%."
- Max Armstrong
