Fathers of Fury Live at The HMV Picture House, EdinburghFrom Backstage the boys can hear the crowd. They had not expected such a good turn out. These people have only heard one track! Jack looks around and sees Isaac shaking like a leaf; "Hey, Isaac. Come here;" Jack hugs him, "You are gonna be fine. You are a great player, okay?" Isaac looks up, nods and smiles. Freddie peeks out and turns back with a huge grin on his face; "Come on boys, they are expecting us." Before anyone else can say or do anything Freddie is out there walking up and down clapping his hands. He walks to a mic; "Hello Edinburgh!" The audience screams. "What? Did you say something? I said HELLO EDINBURGH!" The audience screams louder. "Thats better, now the boys should be out any second. Enjoy Edinburgh!" Freddie goes and sits at his drums.
The other three do eventually come out and take their places. "Hey;" Jack croaks down the mic; "Thank you all for coming, we were not expecting such a great turn out!" Jack looks back at the lads and nods; "Right well we are gonna get straight to it. This first track is a cover of
Suburban Sunrise's track: 'Vulture'!"
The audience loves it. Screams fill the stadium as they finish. "Wow, that was awesome! We aren't gonna waste any time, because we were a little bit late out. So next is another cover, a personal favourite of ours.
Infinite's 'Problems with Pluto'." As soon as Jack says Infinite the crowd goes crazy, and when they hear the song choice they go even crazier, knowing that Fathers of Fury can do this one.
The chorus is filled with the sound of the audience's voices almost drowning out Jack Straw. The song is a favourite with everyone. Jack looks back at the boys again with a huge grin on his face. Isaac even looks excited now, which is a huge improvement from his usual very shy self. Jack steps back up to the mic; "Right, this will be our last cover of the night,
Reckoner's 'Comatose'!
After a great reception from all of the three covers, Ollie King starts playing the opening to 'A New Life'. This makes the fans go mad! This is what they came to see, a live performance of the track that everyone has been listening too. When it reaches Jack Straw's lead to come in the fans go insane, joining in with the bits they know.
"Wow, that was absolutley amazing guys! What do you think Ollie?" Jack says,
Ollie steps up to his mic, "That was awesome! It is a shame that we have to go now."
"Oh, can't we play one more song?" Jack looks back at Ollie and winks,
Ollie grins, "Okay then, that sounds good to me. Here is a track I wrote: 'Subtle Distractions'!" Soon after he had finished saying this, the rhythm guitar started playing, with Isaac grinning like a child at christmas. Then the bass and drums kick in and the song goes crazy - so does the audience.
"Walking Past The Place We First Met..." Jack starts to sing and the audience keeps up the craziness.
The track finishes and all of the boys come to front absolutely beaming, having had an awesome gig!
Isaac steps up to the mic, which shocks all of the lads; "Thank you so much Edinburgh!" The audience goes mad; "We hope to see you all soon! THANK YOU!" So the boys all turn and leave the stage.
