Biography
Left Of The Dial is an American Rock Band formed in Hollywood, California in early 2011 by Edward Barát and Joe Lee Dayton.
They then recruited former guitarist of The Walls and friend of Joe, guitarist Dan Richerds. They continued recruiting another two new band members, on guitar they recruited the UK singer-songwriter/guitarist Ethan Plyth and on drums they recruited the Book Of Love multi-instrumentalist Laura Paige.
The band are currently looking for a record label but due to Barát, Dayton and Paige all having record deals at major labels the band are set to head into a recording studio sometime in February to begin writing songs that will form their debut album.
According to frontman Edward Barát it appears that the band will be run correctly, “It’s not my band, it’s not Joe’s band or Dan’s or Ethan’s or Laura’s. It’s our band and it’s gonna be run properly, we’re gonna hit the studio hard in February and we’re gonna see what happens, we’ll write some songs together and we’ll write some songs on our own, if someone has material they think is good then we’re gonna give it a shot at recording it. There’s gonna be difficulties but I’m 100% committed to making this work and I’m sure everyone else is just as committed to this, it’s not a side-project for me, this is a big deal. It’s gonna be run like a democracy.”
