Millie Little, Back!

Many may remember her, for her amazing and captivating voice in her hit song Feelings ft. Eric Quillington, or her heartbreaking story about her late mother, or her beautiful looks... Soul/Pop artist Millie Little is back in music and is looking forward to releasing new music as soon as possible now that she is signed to Monk On Fire Music after leaving Junction Records earlier this year.

Quote:
There's so much that I have written about, I'm so ready to finish my work and I'm so grateful for this amazing opportunity. My mother would be so proud of me...and that alone is pushing me forward.

Expect a lot from this very talented artist, as her new song could premiere any day now..

Getting To Know …MICHELLE GREEN!!!

UserPostedImage

Recording or Performing Live?
In the studio, I chill out with some amazing people and we have a great time. But performing live is way better! I really feed of off the energy of the audience and when it's live you could slip up and forget lyrics or even fall over, I just love that feeling of danger.

Morning or Evening?
Evening, I feel much more relaxed then and I have just always loved later on in the day, you know because of the dark and calmness.

What is your worst habit?
My worst habit is saying "Are You Ok?". I just find myself saying that when it is silent and to pick up a conversation again. I swear down that once I was sitting next to my friend on a bus for an hour and I must have said "Are You Ok?" like 7 times, just to get a small conversation going

What is your favourite song of the moment?
At the moment it would have to be "Raw" by Cherise. The song is beautiful and Cherise gives her best performance yet on that single.

What is your favourite song of all time?
Probably Alicia Lena's "The Butterfly Effect". It is amazing!

What is your favourite musician/band?
I LOVE Britanny Knox, she is my favourite artist ever. But I also really adore Katie Coyle, Ryan Ross Hernandez and Mind. I'm an indie chick but I love my pop and R&B too, like G2L, Alicia Lena and Victoria Black.

What is your favourite movie?
I love horrors but I love comedies so I have many favourites in each genre. But my overall favourite film would have to be Scream 4. Followed VERY closely by Coraline, Shrek 2 and Shaun Of The Dead.

What would be your perfect day?
Wake up, have some lovely pancakes. Have an exhilarating shower, then take a stroll. Have lunch with my family and friends and go somewhere nice like the cinema. Have a lovely big dinner and at night, curl up under the duvet whilst watching a dvd.

What is your best memory of your childhood?
When me, my parents, my aunt Daphne and my cousin Carla went to Disney World. It was the best time of my life! Not only for the rides and the sites but because we all really bonded and spent so much time close together

Tell us something nobody else knows about you?
I can sing Isabel's "Lose It (Summers Not Hot)" backwards without stopping.

If you could date anyone in the music industry, who would it be?
Oh there's a tough one. Eh, probably someone who is confident and knows what he wants out of life but at the same time has a great sense of humour and not to up himself. Someone like Den from the Teen Titans.

What would be your 3 wishes?
World Peace, No Poverty and a new dress.

Would you rather have worldwide success or true love?
True love. All the success in the world doesn't make you happy. Look at the wonderful Katie Coyle, she is one of the most successful artists out and she hasn't always been on top of the world.

What do you think happens when we die?
I believe that we go somewhere. I'm a huge believer in spirits and the afterlife but I'm not saying God or heaven exists. I just think that there is, well, 'something'.

What are your 5 life goals?[/code]
To find Mr Right, Buy my first car, To be involved in a musical charity type thing, I would love to sing on stage with my idol Brittany Knox and my last goal would be.......em.....oh I know!, To finally clean my overflowing basement.

Culture Uncut: What type of band are you?~
John Cooper: We're an hard rock band, but we really try to bring back glamour to heavy music, we have very melodic vocal parts, keyboards...

Oliver Rose:We're just a rock 'n roll band...

CU: Tell us the brief history of your band.~
JC: Well we started out as a van halen coverband... and u know i was one of the few kids who could play those guitar parts in the neighboor... and tthen i met this blond guy who loved to shake is ass and do splits in front of an audience just like david lee roth...so..

OR:yes well what we really wanted to do was entertain people playing songs from our biggest heroes... and then we got into writing our own stuff, and ya know what? it sounded damn good!

CU: Who are your musical influences?~
JC: For me KISS, Van Halen as i said before, Def Leppard are huge influence and then of course all of the so called 80s "hairbands", ya know the crue, poison, guns n roses, ratt...
OR:Well you name it dude we like to steal from the decade of decadence!

CU:What are your dreams and goals?
JC: Well we really want to be a huge band, youu know there isn't a true hard rockin' band that made it big in the past decade... so we want to be that...
OR: To me it's just a big wet t-shirt contest, and i take all i can get!

CU:Who writes the songs, what are they about?
JC: Well we all do i usually come out with a riff and then we all add something...

CU: What's your outlook on the record industry today?~
JC: No Comment...
OR: I don't care, we're gonna screw up anything anyway!(laugh)

CU: Tell us about your shows and why we should be there.~
JC: Cos when we go out you can be sure that we'll give you the best show you ever saw and you will ever see, and that's every night!
OR: Right and if you don't believe us just come and see us!

(Mr. Quillington, moments after his flamboyant, cartwheeling exit)

"No more rule-breaking, no more drug-taking .... something in the atmosphere feels odd," says one of the members of the celebrity edition Big Brother. Of course, most of that can be accounted to Eric Quillington's abrupt departure from the show less than hour ago. It has always been obvious that he only joined the show to keep Jason Smith in good spirits during his up-and-down relationship with Cassie Bitch, so it doesn't exactly come as a surprise that the two would leave at the same time. Always one for the dramatic flair, Quillington happily cartwheeled out the front door with the Coldplay track 'Every Teardrop is a Waterfall' serving as accompaniment seconds after Smith was evicted from the house. Just as dramatically as he entered (with three break-ins, and an acid trip on his first day, no less), he was gone

"It's fan-fucking-tastic," Quillington briefly says to reporters as he struts back to Glamazon's place of residence, "Now I can watch exploitation films with my girlfriend, and nobody has a reason to bother me." Although Quillington is confident that he will stick with his decision, other housemates are less than convinced. As Ugenia stated in blunt terms, "Eric will be back. As always".

"When asked 'how do you write?' I invariably answer, 'one word at a time', and this answer is invariably dismissed. But that's all it is. It sounds too simple to be true, but consider the Great Wall of China, if you will: one stone at a time, man. That's all. One stone at a time. But I've read you can see that motherfucker from space without a telescope."

- Stephen King

JASON SMITH EXITS HOUSE, ANNOUNCES NEW MUSICAL VENTURE

UserPostedImage

THIS is an apple.

Jason Smith, lead singer of Mind, unwitting porn star and general public nuisance, has finally been kicked off Big Brother. After making his very "special" exit (read: he showed his penis again), he rushed back to the hotel outside of the house to make a blog post about his new musical project: "The Man, The Smith, The Legend collection", a series of 5 completely alien EPs. They will be released under his solo pseudonym, The Jason Smith Band, although no members of the band have actually been confirmed of yet.

He released this statement about 10 minutes ago:

"Hey everyone, it's Jason here. There is a LOT I want to talk about, but first things first, I want to announce a series of EPs I'm putting out called "The Man, The Smith, The Legend". I was originally gonna write an album, but the songs are all too very different to place as one. I can announce the track listing for you now, since I've already decided. I also am going to be looking for some guests on it, so get in touch (OOC: PM me, please :D). People have complained about all the drama and shit, so I guess I need these. Here's the track listing.

EP number 1 - The Sounds of the Severed (Alternative Rock/ Art Rock)

This EP is going to explore the more alternative side of me. Imagine a slightly poppier, more upbeat version of Still Waters, that's what this sounds like. All of the tracks, besides the last one, are pretty basic.

1. Fame, Fortune, An Ego
2. Scared of You
3. Dynamite
4. Spit of a Sparrow

EP number 2 - Star Crossed Lovers (IDM/ Trip-Hop)

Quite slow, murky, weird. Based completely on electronic elements, with very few conventional instruments. Very mechanical, but it takes you to a completely different world. LOOOOOADS of ambiance, as always. Possibly my favourite of them all.

1. Milk and Vinegar
2. Lamenting the Living
3. "Haunted"
4. The Kisses Scar Me

EP number 3 - Blackberry Vine (Folk/ Progressive Rock)

Very folky, some country elements, all mixed in with natural ambiance and a hint of mechanics. Very personal lyrics as well and Hail to the Shadows may well be my masterpiece.

1. In Love
2. Ignites into Butterflies
3. Hail to the Shadows
4. Mood

EP number 4 - Glory to the Brave! (Jazz Rock/ Math Rock)

Fucking insane stuff. Mental. I can't really describe this very well. All I can say is that it's fast paced, technical, has a mixture of conventional and unconventional instruments and consists in me singing in a very high pitch.

1. Glory to the Brave!
2. What a Story, Mark
3. Submerged
4. Black Widows and Phantoms of the Sea Incarnate!!

EP number 5 - The Wake (Fuck knows...)

Imagine a crazier, more carefree version of Mind, that's what this is. Heaviest EP by miles. It's what Glory to the Brave! would be if it was slower, and much, MUCH heavier. It's still fast, but also has some slow bits, like The Dark Waltz. It does, however, end the series on quite a nice note.

1. Everyone is a Cunt, Go and Die
2. The Dark Waltz
3. On a Different Planet
4. Synchronized

That's it guys! Lots of love, Jason."

DEN'S NEW ALBUM FULL OF COLLABORATIONS

UserPostedImage
(Orange Titan, aka Den)

The new and upcoming solo album of Orange Titan, aka Den Walnut, is going to be full of collaborations with some of the most successful acts of the music industry. Some of them already confirmed are Cinzia Ricci, Saffia of Brown Sugar, Isabel and Gabe.

UserPostedImage
(From left to right: Saffia, Gabe, Cinzia, Isabel)

It's also rumored that the singer wants to get even more artists on the record and seems to be interested in having Ugenia and MattY, as much as some of his bandmates, especially Martina, who told us "Den is an hardworking. He's able to write and produce his own music and he's pretty fast at it, so he may release the album very soon. He has already done half of the album I think, but it's nothing surprising for me. I know what he's like". She also told us about an her duet with him "He asked me to be on a song of the album too, he said I would have been perfect so now we're recording this song together soon".

Certainly What "We've Been Waiting For"

Its official, Cinzia's debut album 'What You've Been Waiting For' makes a huge splash on this weeks album charts selling a staggering 350,000 copies in its opening week! Making Cinzia's albums release the second highest opening week sales on the charts behind Riot! In The Boulevard's self titled album earlier this year. Congrats to Cinzia and you cannot help but to be happy for her as she has been trying to get on her feet for a long time career-wise. Take a look at the reaction from Cinzia and a few others following the huge news...

Cinzia
Quote:
I cannot believe this! I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS! OH MY GOD! I'm so happy! I feel like I'm dreaming.....I just want to say thank to everyone who supported this album because right now I'm breaking down into tears because never in a million years would I expect to have a number 1 album. I'll be remembering this for the rest of my life. This is fucking amazing!!!! I appreciate this so much so once again, thanks to everyone who supported this album. My hard work has paid off..

DJ Cloud
Quote:
WEEEE GOTTTTT A NUMBERRRR 1 BABY! SO happy right now for my girl Cinzia, she has worked so hard. We did it baby! We did it! Parrty! Parrrrrrrty! PARTTTY!

DJ Night

Quote:
Big ups to Cinz... 350k in her first week, whoa. Good job girl!

Once again Congrats to the Italian "success story"!

Getting To Know …TEEN TITANS!!!

UserPostedImage

Recording or Performing Live?
Laurence: Well, maybe both. Recording is fun when you're in a band, but the same thing can be said about performing.
Tanya: Performing of course.
Martina: I have to say performing. It's the reason why a singer should be a singer in my honest opinion.
Den: I think performing! Because there's a whole lot of fun in it!

Morning or Evening?
Laurence: Evening because you can really do more in that part of the day.
Tanya: Evening.
Martina: I like them both honestly, but the evening has some sort of magic.
Den: Evening all the time!

What is your worst habit?
Laurence: Maybe working a lot, I wouldn't know.
Tanya: Nothing, I'm perfect. [Laughs]
Martina: Saying what I really think, my opinions all the time. Sometimes it may hurt people, but I want to be honest and we're all entitled to our own opinions.
Den: Maybe I use to think and talk too much, I've been told to shut up lots of times. But I can't control it! I have a lot to say! [Laughs]

What is your favourite song of the moment?
Laurence: I'm quite liking "Mr. Saxobeat" of Alexandra Stan, it's catchy.
Tanya: "Last Friday Night" by Katy Perry. I love it.
Martina: It's hard to pick one.
Den: My new solo song I think! I love how it came out so good!

What is your favourite song of all time?
Laurence: That's another hard question... Well, I wouldn't know here too. There are lots of songs I like.
Tanya: There isn't just one to be honest.
Martina: I'd say "No Woman No Cry" by Bob Marley. But then you have "Hallelujah" by Jeff Buckley, which is also a classic for me.
Den: I think there are too many songs that are my favourite, so it's hard, you know!

What is your favourite musician/band?
Laurence: Black Eyed Peas, they're very good.
Tanya: Katy Perry, Lady Gaga.
Martina: The Beatles. They used to do great music.
Den: Cinzia Ricci and Electrodeath!! Wow, they make great music!

What is your favourite movie?
Laurence: "Scary Movie", it's such a fan movie.
Tanya: Uhm... there isn't one, I like lots of movies.
Martina: "Pirates of The Caribbean", I love Johnny Depp.
Den: Well, I like superheroes' movies, so I'd go with the "X-men"!

What would be your perfect day?
Laurence: A day to spend with my family, wife and son.
Tanya: Every day is perfect... [Laughs]
Martina: A day I can enjoy life with my friends and family, like today.
Den: It would some day full of relax and fun!

What is your best memory of your childhood?
Laurence: It's when I found out I was a genius [Laughs]
Tanya: Surely when I sang the first time in front of lots of people, it was great.
Martina: My friends, I am always going to love them. I indeed miss them a lot.
Den: My best memory is gonna be all the fun I had with my childhood friends and thank God we still keep in contact with each other.

Tell us something nobody else knows about you?
Laurence: I am a good father?
Tanya: Uhm... I love biting the others! [Smiles]
Martina: Nobody knows that I enjoy "Bad Romance" of Lady Gaga. Yeah, it's such a guilty pleasure for me. [Laughs]
Den: Haha, there is one thing, but I can't really tell anyone!! So I'll go with the fact that I read a lot of horoscope and astrology! [Laughs]

If you could date anyone in the music industry, who would it be?
Laurence: Of course my wife.
Tanya: Myself. [Laughs]
Martina: Oh, that's hard to tell. I like this guy called Nate Alexander, he reminds me of a singer I fell in love with when I was just a kid.
Den: I can't tell you! It would be too easy! [Laughs]

What would be your 3 wishes?
Laurence: Having other children with my wife, always being a singer and having still lots of money!
Tanya: I want some sexy boyfriend [Laughs], then a good family and... being happy.
Martina: I would like to become some sort of a legendary artist like Freddie Mercury, then have some children and I'd also love to be happily married.
Den: Well, I wanna be very successful and famous, I always wanna look good and find true love! [Smiles]

Would you rather have worldwide success or true love?
Laurence: True love, it matters much more I guess.
Tanya: True love.
Martina: True love is more important by any point.
Den: A worldwide success, thank you very much! I think I'm never going to find true love.

What do you think happens when we die?
Laurence: I guess we die and find peace in paradise.
Tanya: We just die.
Martina: I don't know, I think we die and get into the paradise, or at least that's what Bible says for us Christians.
Den: It's easy! We reborn in another life, it's Karma!

What are your 5 life goals?
Laurence: I want to record at least one solo album, have another son or a daughter, be married forever with my wife, I want to explore my acting career and always have lots of money.
Tanya: I don't know, I would like to have a child, find love, get married, always releasing music and always be happy.
Martina: I would like to release a solo album, be a respected artist like I said before, then I'd like to write some book, I'd also love to find my soulmate if he exists and finally be happily married.
Den: I have already become a singer, so I have just four goals left and they are that I'd like to always have good friends, still be successful, I wanna always live life in full and then if I could, I'd like to really find true love.

KESTREL WOLFE - 7/4/1985-11/9/2011, R.I.P.
UserPostedImage
Kestrel Wolfe, left; cousin Raven Comatose, right
Moronic Changeling guitarist and Big Brother housemate Soma Francesca Wolfe, otherwise known as "Kestrel", was found comatose in the Big Brother house. Kestrel had been out for many hours. "I thought she was asleep!" says fellow housemate Joshy Firecracker. "I didn't want to disturb her .... I wish I could have saved her!"
Kestrel was believed to be so ill, constantly throwing up and having blackouts, because she was pregnant, but it turned out that she was not pregnant at all; she had missed a miscarriage and was sick due to an undiagnosed malignant brain tumour which had been growing for some time. "It messed with her head too, that's why she was a bit - backward in terms of what was right and what was wrong," says her doctor, referring to Kestrel's multiple rape and stalking allegations.
Kestrel, 26, was probably still alive when she was removed from the house, but was pronounced D.O.A. at the hospital. "Nothing could be done," says her doctor. "This is a sad day."

News of Kestrel's passing has left me speechless. I'd like to think that she considered me a friend, even if we only knew each other for a brief time on Big Brother. Although that show was filled with fights and feuds, I'm still glad to have been a part of it, as it gave me a chance to spend several weeks getting to know her. Rest in Peace.

-Eric Quillington
Kid Anything- Indie/Britpop/Shoegaze; influenced by Sigur Ros, XXYYXX, Kanye West, Blur, Oasis

(Bringing together an eclectic group of influences, Ulysses' songs are sung with carefree abandon by Nick Junk)

Kurt Ulysses - Songwriter, Guitarist, Backup Vocalist
Nick Junk - Vocals, Mojo

Infinite- Alternative/Experimental Rock; influenced by Muse, Radiohead, and The Beatles

(Known best for their experimental music and their frontman's eccentric behavior, the band disbanded after Eric Quillington's death to pursue solo careers or, in Matt Robert's case, peace of mind. Infinite released four albums over the course of their career; Blue Nebula, Midnight Skies, Insomnia, and Dancing about Architecture.)

Eric Quillington (Deceased) - Lead Vocals, Lead Guitar, Piano, Primary Lyricist
Matt Roberts - Bass
Greg Oldson - Drums, Backup Vocals, Secondary Lyricist
Amelia Florentine - Keyboards, Piano, Lyricist, Backup Vocals

"When asked 'how do you write?' I invariably answer, 'one word at a time', and this answer is invariably dismissed. But that's all it is. It sounds too simple to be true, but consider the Great Wall of China, if you will: one stone at a time, man. That's all. One stone at a time. But I've read you can see that motherfucker from space without a telescope."

Ryan Ross Hernandez: "I'm doing this because it's my calling."
UserPostedImage

Singer-songwriter, guitarist, recording artist Ryan Ross Hernandez invited us into his home to talk about his upcoming tour with PANIC! and why it's going to be so unique. Also, hear what advice he would give to his younger self if he could go back in time...

Why the veteran musician is still making music:

I think I got to a point where I'm really playing music to serve playing music. When you're younger, it's a weapon. And then if you're lucky, and if you're on time with everything, it becomes a gift. I wouldn't have believed my younger self this, that once you realize it's a gift, then it really all goes to another level. I would have been like, 'No, no, no, no, no, no. I play music in a highly weaponized, fully charged way, that's meant to change minds, meant to change minds.'

This tour with PANIC! should really be something because you haven't played with this band really, except to make the record:

I will be doing that both with instrumentation, with band members, with songs. Then I think also with this sort-of greater, philosophical approach to why I'm making music. If you're being authentic with yourself, and you make music, then what you hear back is you. I'm doing this because it's my calling. Not because I'm here to show anybody anything. And once you free yourself of that, a lot more notes come to mind, or a lot fewer notes come to mind.

How he has learned to take a seat back in the music world and shut his mouth:

I got to view sort-of in passing, what was coming out, without saying 'That's going to be this, and that's going to be that.' Because I don't know. I finally learned how to throw my hands up and say, 'I don't know! Maybe this is great. Maybe this is not.'

His philosophy whilst making Running Changes:

I set out to, not to write good songs, but to write bad songs. And I think that other people are going to like it, but I'm no longer saying, 'Wait until they get a load of this.'

Kyle Smith Murdered?

UserPostedImage

Kyle Smith the owner of Monk on Fire Music has been found dead.

Reports circulating last night said that the business owner, who came into owning MoFM a few months ago under unknown circumstances was found dead at his house on Sunday morning.

Reports are also circulating that Matthew James Young (MattY) the young rap star, producer and previous owner of MoFM was arrested last night by police after A Concert For Angel on suspicion of murder!.

A witness who didn't want to be named said "Oh that MattY was arguing with Mr Smith on Friday night outside his house just in the street everyone heard it, that Mr Smith was a real nice bloke, everyone is shocked"

Police have yet to confirm if MattY is being held or charged with murder.
