Three Diamond awards and first #1

Isabela Mar is undoubtedly one of the breakout stars of the new music year. Now she has added even more successes to her list. At a ceremony she was awarded three Diamond records. And even that figure was actually already outdated by the time the banner went to press, because the sales figures for their releases are so astronomically high that it won't stop at just those three. This week alone, 9 of their CDs sold more than 20 million copies. She was also celebrated for her first No. 1 spot on the charts—twice, in fact. Both her new single “Frecuencia Ancestral” and her EP “Constelación Urbana” reached the top spot, each with over 5 million sales. Isabela made a speach, saying:
"Receiving three Diamond records and celebrating two number-one hits feels completely surreal, but above all, it's a massive victory for the sound of home. Growing up in Lima, I was always caught between two worlds—the soulful melodies of the charango and the hypnotic beat of the cajón blending right alongside the global rhythms of pop and electronic music. People used to view traditional Peruvian music as a static museum piece, something locked in the past. But I always knew it was a living, breathing force. This isn't just my success—it belongs to every single soul in Peru and everyone who believes that honoring where you come from is the ultimate superpower. We are only just getting started."
