About Union Line in their own words

Union Line takes country's old bones and gives them a new argument. Formed in Asheville by six musicians tired of trucks-and-beer clichés, they write about union halls, healthcare bills, and small towns getting left behind — pedal steel included. Wes writes like he's reading the news out loud. Some radio stations won't play them; the crowds show up anyway. They've been called "too political for country" and "finally, country with something to say."
