Dorminhoco
About Dorminhoco in their own words
Dorminhoco (Portuguese for "Sleepyhead" or "The Slumberer") is a vibrant, subversively energetic Latin-fusion ensemble from Salvador, Bahia.
The core concept behind the band is a playful irony: despite their low-key, hazy name, Dorminhoco delivers explosive, high-octane rhythms that keep crowds dancing until sunrise. Their signature sound fuses traditional Afro-Brazilian grooves like Samba-Reggae and Ijexá with Latin Caribbean styles like Cumbia, Salsa, and Psysurf Nu-Tropicalia.
